It’s been a long time coming

I’m getting married at the end of the year, and I still have trouble believing it. I never thought this day would come. I mean yeah, I’ve been engaged before, but he freaked out anytime I mentioned anything about the wedding. He also hated everything about me. My current fiancé, Dylan, is a dream come true though. He is my favorite person ever. I am not the average bride though. There will be no one walking me down the aisle. No father daughter dance. No bride’s family paying for anything. Just a bride without her parents who grew up in poverty and is finally middle class adjacent. Since we are paying for everything, we are having a very different and very diy wedding. Our first decision came for the venue. Dylan was very adamant about picking something unique but within budget. We went through a couple of ideas before deciding to just getting married in the downtown square of historic Spartanburg, SC. Where I was born and raised. Afterwards, guests will join us for a night of dancing and bowling as we’re renting out an underground bowling alley. Doing this we cut the cost of food and bar vendors as the underground bowling alley handles both of those. That also cuts back on decorations because I won’t need as many and what I do need I will make myself. Stay tuned for more wedding planning non-sense
